Below is a video of Colt playing with his new favorite toy. He is SOO close to walking. I bet he'll have it down by his first b-day!

Goin' to the chapel... 6 years ago!
I can't believe that it's been 6 years since we said "I do!" Time really does fly when you are having fun. Over the past 6 years, we've known what it's like to want and have plenty, to love in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, and in joy as well as in sorrow. No matter what peaks or valleys we may experience, I'm blessed that God has given me YOU to walk through life by my side. God has taught us many things on our journey, most recently how to wait on Him! I've been amazed at the times when I think I can't love you any greater amount, but He always gives me the capacity to do so. Ty, you are my best friend and a wonderful husband and father. I love you!

Hippie Church

While we were in Austin last week, we headed to Hippie Church. I'd heard about this Austin phenomenon before, but had never been. Hippie Church is a gathering at Taco Express on South Lamar where they play "gospel" music and people have beer and tacos for "communion." :) We honestly had a really good time (even though we were only there for a few minutes to drop something off to our friends). It was definitely an "Austin" experience and a good way to end our trip!

Abilene, Abilene, Prettiest town I've ever seen
Two weeks ago, Colt and I took a trip to Abilene to visit my family. We had a great visit! Here is a recap in pictures.
We went to my brother's softball game.
Andrew and his girlfriend, Amy.
Abbey at her school "Grandparent's Day" presentation.
Abbey and Colt
Dad and Colt hanging out in the backyard
Grandad and Grandma
Having fun taking pictures at ACU

Aunts Ashley and Abbey

We also ate at Cajun Cones, saw my friend Beth, took cover from a tornado in the Ad building, ate at the Poly Sci dept picnic, and shopped at the ACU bookstore. Lots of fun in Abilene. I had a great time with you all and look forward to seeing yall soon!

Night waking

Here's a link where the strip is easier to read... http://www.babyblues.com/IMAGES/2000/001127.gif
I found this comic strip... I think it portrays how I am feeling about the upcoming weaning process. I'm planning to nurse Colt for his first year, but then Ty and I would like to take a vacation (just the 2 of us) and I figure I'll need to have Colt weaned by then. This is also one of the reasons why I still get up in the middle of the night to feed Colt, even though he physically doesn't really need to eat in the middle of the night anymore. It is just such a special time... one of my favorite's with him actually. My plan is to cut out his middle of the night feeding in 2 weeks.... sob!

Sink or Swim
2 weeks ago we began swim lessons at the YMCA. Colt really hated it the first week, but this past week he has started to loosen up a bit. We've been going swimming almost daily so he can get used to the water. On Saturday we went as a family, so here are some pics from the day.

On Thursday, my friend Kristel invited Colt and I to a Rays baseball game. Her husband works for the team and got us AWESOME tickets. We were SO close to the players, right behind the plate. Check out some pics I took, and I didn't even have to use the zoom :)

We LOVE our neighborhood! We have awesome neighbors and we love hanging out with them. Over spring break they had a pancake breakfast for all the kids in one family's driveway and everyone went to the beach another day. My next door neighbor always brings out tons of toys in her yard and we all sit around talking as our kids play together. I could go on about our neighborhood, but instead I'll post some pics of Colt playing in the yard. He loves tunnels and eating leaves - yum!
Also, Colt has finally started to say "DaDa" and "MaMa" and loves to sing. We just eat it up! He's also getting really independent and we think he is really close to standing alone. Yikes! That means walking is right around the corner. Watch out world!
