Sink or Swim

2 weeks ago we began swim lessons at the YMCA. Colt really hated it the first week, but this past week he has started to loosen up a bit. We've been going swimming almost daily so he can get used to the water. On Saturday we went as a family, so here are some pics from the day.

On Thursday, my friend Kristel invited Colt and I to a Rays baseball game. Her husband works for the team and got us AWESOME tickets. We were SO close to the players, right behind the plate. Check out some pics I took, and I didn't even have to use the zoom :)

We LOVE our neighborhood! We have awesome neighbors and we love hanging out with them. Over spring break they had a pancake breakfast for all the kids in one family's driveway and everyone went to the beach another day. My next door neighbor always brings out tons of toys in her yard and we all sit around talking as our kids play together. I could go on about our neighborhood, but instead I'll post some pics of Colt playing in the yard. He loves tunnels and eating leaves - yum! Also, Colt has finally started to say "DaDa" and "MaMa" and loves to sing. We just eat it up! He's also getting really independent and we think he is really close to standing alone. Yikes! That means walking is right around the corner. Watch out world!

how much fun! it's great that you have a neighborhood where people spend time together. what a blessing!

we did some swimming lessons with elijah right after he turned 1 - it was so much fun! it was incredible - by the end of the time, they had him holding his breath under water and swimming like 4 feet. it's instinctive, really! anyway, it was good memories. i hope i'll get to do that with kate!

it seems like you guys have been having so much fun!
