Texas Our Texas

So, we headed to Austin last weekend and had a blast! Ty had to go for work and we needed to take care of some stuff with the house. We spent the rest of the time hanging out with friends and family!

Colt got to meet his friend Malachi (4 weeks old)!
All the boys. Malachi is still at that great age where he can sleep in public.
Kendal and I spending our ROMANTIC Valentine's Day dinner at Lubys. Every girls dream ;)
Then we headed over and hung out with the Conlys and Benefields. They both have beautiful baby girls who are growing up so fast!!
The dads are having fun with their munchkins.

Then we drove to San Antonio to watch Dusty play b-ball. Colt was his biggest fan. We really enjoyed watching him. He is such a natural leader for the team.

Colt and I went for a walk at one of my favorite Austin hot spots, Town Lake. Near the convention center they had just finished a new park and at the top of a hill was this cement Texas.

Austin skyline. Colt was so into the grass that he wouldn't look at the camera.

He definitely loved the park just as much as his momma. His favorite part was watching the hundreds of birds that were everywhere this particular day. We had a great time in Austin. We saw other great friends as well but forgot to take pictures. Special thanks to the Hejls for letting us crash at their place. It was great to see Coop - he is so cute and getting big! We loved seeing Chez and Cody too - we got to watch them teach the 7th graders at their church. Yall are so great with them!

To close, month 7 has been a very big month for Colt. He has had SO many firsts. He sat up by himself, started crawling, is pulling up to his knees and his feet, started sticking out his tongue and clucking with his tongue, etc.

He's SO proud of himself... and so are his mom and dad.

30 days of sex

Thought that title may get your attention. For those of you that haven't heard, there is a church here in Tampa that has issued a 30-day sex challenge to its members. Because the divorce rate is 50% for both Christians and non-Christians alike, the pastor is challenging his members to increase the intimacy in their marriages, or to abstain from sex for the unmarried (seems strange for a church to acknowledge that half of the equation... or at least to ignore it the other 335 days of the year). Anyway, Ty has been all about this story and wants to change churches for the next 30 days. :) If you or your spouse are interested in the sex challenge you can go to the church website. They have a blog and a 30-day guide: http://www.relevantchurch.com/. Bring on the hibbity jibbity.

My job just got a lot harder!!

Colt officially started crawling yesterday. He's still kinda slow, but he definitely gets from here to there and is keeping me hopping! I can see why this is the time when many moms lose the last of their baby weight. No more sitting around for me!

Where's Colt?

Praise God!

So we finally have accepted an offer on our house in Austin!! It's been on the market OVER 1 year. AND we have someone coming to look at our Expedition tonight! God has answered our prayers by sending people interested in this stuff. Please pray for us to have wisdom on negotiating and for the offers to go through to completion.

Beach Bum Baby

This weekend Ty's mom visited us in Tampa. Since this was her 3rd trip here and hadn't yet been to see the beach, we headed to Honeymoon Island beach.

Today Colt had another first. He sat up all by himself (like he was laying on his back and the next minute he was sitting up playing with his toy)! Guess tonight we have to lower his crib settings.
He's also working really hard on crawling. He can scoot backwards like a champ and will be going forward very soon. Here are some pics of Colt yesterday (notice the bad mood). He's in an outfit from my most loyal "blog stalker," Jackie. :)
Well, have a BEAUTIFUL evening!
