Texas Our Texas

So, we headed to Austin last weekend and had a blast! Ty had to go for work and we needed to take care of some stuff with the house. We spent the rest of the time hanging out with friends and family!

Colt got to meet his friend Malachi (4 weeks old)!
All the boys. Malachi is still at that great age where he can sleep in public.
Kendal and I spending our ROMANTIC Valentine's Day dinner at Lubys. Every girls dream ;)
Then we headed over and hung out with the Conlys and Benefields. They both have beautiful baby girls who are growing up so fast!!
The dads are having fun with their munchkins.

Then we drove to San Antonio to watch Dusty play b-ball. Colt was his biggest fan. We really enjoyed watching him. He is such a natural leader for the team.

Colt and I went for a walk at one of my favorite Austin hot spots, Town Lake. Near the convention center they had just finished a new park and at the top of a hill was this cement Texas.

Austin skyline. Colt was so into the grass that he wouldn't look at the camera.

He definitely loved the park just as much as his momma. His favorite part was watching the hundreds of birds that were everywhere this particular day. We had a great time in Austin. We saw other great friends as well but forgot to take pictures. Special thanks to the Hejls for letting us crash at their place. It was great to see Coop - he is so cute and getting big! We loved seeing Chez and Cody too - we got to watch them teach the 7th graders at their church. Yall are so great with them!

To close, month 7 has been a very big month for Colt. He has had SO many firsts. He sat up by himself, started crawling, is pulling up to his knees and his feet, started sticking out his tongue and clucking with his tongue, etc.

He's SO proud of himself... and so are his mom and dad.

Why don't you mention to the good people about your pre-valentine's day dinner on Monday so we could avoid the crowd's at your favortite restaurant, Grille 116? As if all I do for you is take you to Luby's...

What great pics! I love the two with moms/kids and then dads/kids. The mom's have everything under control and the dad's have kids everywhere. SO CUTE! Zach and I did the pre-valentine's day meal too. I hate going out on V-day, too crowded!

hi, charis, i haven't talked to you in so long! It seems motherhood is suiting you so well. I have enjoyed reading your blog a bit, and I recently started one myself! On this post, I LOVED the picture of the 4 moms holding their babies, contrasted with the 4 dads holding the babies. Perfect!

Hope you are well... take care!

Charis, hi, I'm Jesse's mom.
