Hey all! Sorry I've been absent from blogging for a while. We've actually been up to a lot recently, so I thought I'd bring everyone up to speed.
First, my laptop is broken and is off being repaired which is one reason for the lack of posts and also why I haven't been keeping up with your blogs.
Second, we've moved! SURPRISE! We have packed up our home in Tampa and have moved back to Austin. We are extremely sad to leave Tampa and the wonderful friends God provided us while we lived there, but know that He is leading us back to Texas, so we must follow. We bought a house in Austin which was built in 1979. The original owners just moved out and didn't update one single thing in the past 30 years, so they left that job to us. We are having the home completely remodeled (wall texture, kitchen cabinets/appliance, bathrooms, lighting, EVERYTHING) and are living in Marble Falls until the work is completed (hopefully by Aug 1st!).
Well, that's about it for now. I will catch up on posts and on your blogs once my laptop is returned. Hope you are all having a wonderful summer!

Granny Rae visits Tampa

This past week, my mom was in town visiting. We took a trip to the beach, ate at some good restaurants, and had a 1st birthday party for Colt. Here is the week in pictures :)
Since Colt loves to hum and sing along with music, we had an American Idol birthday party. We played Rock Band and had a yummy cake.
Since we hadn't seen my mom since Christmas, we went to a nice part of our neighborhood and took some family photos:

May
So we've been a bit busy, thus the lack of posts. Also, we took a trip to Marble Falls for Memorial Day, and I took a camera with a dead battery, so that really hurt the amount of pics I could take! Anyway, here's a recap of May with a few pics stolen from Sara Hejl and Sara Watterson's blogs. I guess we'll start out of order... here are pictures from Memorial Day weekend. Jay and Ally brought their boat to Marble Falls and we had a blast (in between bouts of some virus that Colt gave to everyone... sorry about that guys!).
Colt rode on a boat for the first time. He liked the wind in his face, but wasn't real sure about the life jacket.
We also attended a birthday party with a petting zoo. Colt kept petting/hitting the bunny, but the bunny thankfully didn't seem to mind. The party was for the kid of my chiropractor... Totally Chiropractic in Tampa. Check it out if you need some structural loving.
Enthused to be riding the pony
We also headed to a Rays game vs. LA Angels. Ty caught a fowl ball hit by Vladimir Guerrero while holding Colt in his other arm. We had someone tell us they saw us on tv :)

Ty and Colt petting sting rays at the Rays stadium.
On Mother's Day we ate at Jason's Deli with our good friends the Ernsts. We all had ice cream for dessert and Colt didn't want to be left out. He dove right towards Ty's cone and LOVED every minute of it! So much for my resolve not to give Colt sugar till his 1st b-day cake :)

Well, that's about it for May. Hopefully I'll be better about posting in June. Sorry Mom!
Here are Camden, Chase and Cooper

New fave toy!
Below is a video of Colt playing with his new favorite toy. He is SOO close to walking. I bet he'll have it down by his first b-day!

Goin' to the chapel... 6 years ago!
I can't believe that it's been 6 years since we said "I do!" Time really does fly when you are having fun. Over the past 6 years, we've known what it's like to want and have plenty, to love in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, and in joy as well as in sorrow. No matter what peaks or valleys we may experience, I'm blessed that God has given me YOU to walk through life by my side. God has taught us many things on our journey, most recently how to wait on Him! I've been amazed at the times when I think I can't love you any greater amount, but He always gives me the capacity to do so. Ty, you are my best friend and a wonderful husband and father. I love you!

Hippie Church

While we were in Austin last week, we headed to Hippie Church. I'd heard about this Austin phenomenon before, but had never been. Hippie Church is a gathering at Taco Express on South Lamar where they play "gospel" music and people have beer and tacos for "communion." :) We honestly had a really good time (even though we were only there for a few minutes to drop something off to our friends). It was definitely an "Austin" experience and a good way to end our trip!
